Design

The design of this website has gone through 6 iterations since its inception in 2002. Currently the design is a custom subtheme of the Drupal Bartik theme.

Standards

All pages on this website were originally written by hand in valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and using CSS 2.1 for layout. The code was then checked using HTML Tidy. Now Drupal takes care of all that. All pages can be verified at the W3 validator.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Openhost in Auckland, New Zealand on a Linux box (Debian Lenny 5) running Apache. mod_deflate is enabled to gzip compress all text content. Content is served as UTF-8.

Statistics

These initially came from Site Meter, but I am now using google analytics. Over 2011 I had 54,069 Unique Visitors. The most popular browser is Firefox at 45.18%, then Chrome at 24.12%, IE at 16.96%, Safari at 10.38 and Opera at 2.48%. For operating systems Windows is 67.84%, Mac is 17.90% and Linux is 13.44%.

Browers

This website will look fine in most broswers, but older versions of IE don't support all the features. I recommend you use firefox or Google Chrome to browse the internet.
